Horizon Europe, Italian Info days on European Missions 2024 calls
On 7 and 8 May 2024, the Italian Info days #MISSIONITALIA Horizon Europe, organized by the Agency for the Promotion of European Research (APRE), in agreement with the Ministry of University and Research (MUR), on the EU Missions 2024 call, with deadline in September, will be held online.
The event includes a horizontal session to discuss the themes of the EU Missions and to present the calls of the related cross-cutting activities and five thematic sessions, focused on the specific calls of each Mission.
The Italian Info days will focus on the financing and requirements that will allow researchers, innovators, political stakeholders, businesses and citizens to work at their best on the goals of each Mission:
- Cancer: improving the lives of more than 3 million people by 2030 through prevention, cure and for those affected by cancer including their families, to live longer and better;
- Adaptation to Climate Change: to accompany by 2030 at least 150 European regions and communities towards climate resilience;
- Restore our Ocean and Waters: to restore the health of our ocean and waters by 2030;
- 100 Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities: to support, promote and deliver 100 climate-neutral and smart cities;
- A Soil Deal for Europe: to establish 100 living labs and lighthouses to lead the transition towards healthy soils.
With the Commission’s amendment to the Horizon Europe Work Programme 2023-2024, the European Union will invest €648 million in 2024 in research and innovation activities underpinning EU Missions to achieve the ambitious goals set for 2023.
